About us

International Basketball Club (IBC) was established in 2000 as international group of basketball by Yoshiyuki Kuroda and Eric Capati.

We are non-profit organization. Main members are foreigner live in Hachioji, Tokyo.

Philippino, American,Japanese and now Argentine, Malaysian, etc. From teenager to skilful 40's. 《IBC Members》

IBC basketball holds Pick up games every Sunday at 18:00 - 21:00 or 15:00 - 18:00, bringing players, both man and women, to share their passion for the game.

Our courts are 5 gyms in Hachioji.  We usualy play

• Kounohara gym
• Fujimori main gym
• Fujimori small gym
• Es forta arena Hachioji
• Yui junior high school

We make 3～5 teams by pick up then play basketball game 5 on 5 .

IBC LEAGUE is held every year since 2015. And sometimes held IBC ONE DAY LEAGUE.

There is no enrollement fee and membership fee.

All players are required to  pay 300 yen per game (3 hours) to cover the gym rental fees.

More than 20 countries, over one hundred foreign people played in IBC.

2000～2004 four years(First leg). 2004～2008 activity suspension four years, then restarted from 2008(Second leg). It was 10 years anniversary of IBC second leg this February. 《IBC History》

“Playing basketball with foreigners like killing two birds with one stone because I can enjoy basketball and my English skill will brush up.” It was done by my idea. “I will make a basketball club with some foreigners!” That’s a trigger of establishment.

As of now, it’s being management for the purpose of that making good friendship between many other countries people through basketball.

Not only playing basketball, but also we do some other events and enjoy together for make our relationship good. OHANAMI(Food and drinks under cherry blossom tree) in spring, Beach and BBQ in summer, Snowboarding in winter.
